Day One
Jesus meets the Buddha while walking on the road at night. Jesus kills the Buddha
Day Two
The Buddha meets Jesus while walking on the road during the day. The Buddha kills Jesus
Day Three
The People meet Jesus and the Buddha while walking on the road. The People first persecute Jesus and the Buddha, then they kill them
Jesus killed the Buddha because he realized that he could walk the entire world with the Buddha yet never truly understand his teachings until he walked the path alone for himself
The Buddha killed Jesus because he knew that he could follow the Word of Jesus but still not find the way until he found his own truth within
The People persecuted Jesus and the Buddha in order to avoid facing their own inner truth
The People persecuted Jesus and the Buddha because the thought of true freedom was too scary for them to contemplate
The People killed Jesus and the Buddha because they had learned how to become like Jesus and Buddha on the outside, but never learned how to know them on the inside
Question: How was the Buddha able to kill Jesus on the second day (when the Buddha had already been killed during the night on the first day)?
Answer: The darkness can only obscure the truth temporarily. The truth never truly dies
Question: How were the People able to persecute Jesus and the Buddha on the third day (when Jesus and the Buddha had already been killed during the first two days)?
Answer: Time has never been an obstacle for the persecution and the suppression of truth
Spirituality is based on practice, not on worship
Footnote: The above is based on the following words of Lin Chi -- "If you meet the Buddha on the road, kill him". The words are intended to be symbolic, not literal.
