Unconditional affection - Goffen

Bergen, Norway

Unconditional affection as offered to me by the 9 dogs i've had the pleasure of knowing so far in my life.

I struggle with bad weather and lousy light here, and i'm not too happy with this shot, but i feel i gotta have at least one entry...

Oops forgot to name the model. This is Bini, the Borzoi.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-G1 ,Vivitar 24mm/f2.0
1/500s f/1.0 iso200 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

What a wonderful portrait! The touch of wind in her hair enhances the effectiveness. Her eyes are windows of a kind and intuitive soul, I think. I agree that animals offer us the purest and least limited love we can ever hope to find - no strings attached. (But I suspect that cats impose more conditions than dogs do).

Shirley.
She is really kind, gentle, and well behaving with only two minor flaws:
1. The above does not apply if you are a cat.
2. She is an incurable masterthief.
(3. She sheds a LOT of fur twice a year)

Tell me, is she as sweet and cuddly as she always looks in her photos? This is one good looking dog even on the cloudiest of days. :o)

What a great shot. she looks content and very happy to pose for you.

I have had pets with the exception of a few years all my life, in fact the name Tommy cat has been used three times now all on orange tabbies. I can't imagine life without them

Be happy, Goffen, shot is very OK :-) I have had three dogs when was young/er and find it is to painful when they are not around any more, so I "quited" with pets.
