Some remarks: I hope no explanation is needed- just go out and look for vivid colors. And concentrate on the color, not so much on the subject. Part of a blossom in front of a dark blue sky might fit the topic better then a whole flower with disttracting background. Adjusting saturation is fine, but please no false colors.
