At 1,469 miles, the Arkansas River is the sixth longest river in the United States, the second-longest tributary in the Mississippi-Missouri system, and the 45th longest river in the world. Its origin is in the Rocky Mountains in Lake County, Colorado, near Leadville, and its outlet is at Napoleon, Arkansas. We found this farm house in the fertile river valley just west of Rocky Ford, CO. It was in very good shape considering it appeared to be abandoned for a very long time.
