With winter fast approaching, the late fall colors added a beautiful vibrance in the Moraine Valley. This can also be a great place to view Elk but none were to be seen on this day. I would love to see this same view the next day after a snow storm and of course the snows did come a couple of days after I returned home. With the recent hiring freeze for all national parks including seasonal workers, I fear for the future of places like this. These parks are truly a national treasure and must not be lost!!!
