Rockwall County - Royce City - First United Methodist Church

The church was organized in 1887 and served by a circuit minister. The congregation met in an adjacent schoolhouse until 1890 when a church was built. This structure was erected in 1904.

The church is listed as a historic site by the Texas Historical Commission and a marker is in place to designate it.
