The scenes are some 2 14 in. slides taken during my first Naval cruise in the Mediterranean
I was an engineering Officer on the USS Randolph, an Essex class aircraft carrier.
I am including pictures taken ashore

Excellent gallery from fascinating times. As a private pilot I enjoy viewing all these planes. I have visited many aviation museums and created many galleries of them. But your real recorded memories here are worth much more. -v-

Neil -- Remarkable photos. My dad was stationed aboard another Essex class carrier, Antietam, about the same time. We also lived in Hutchinson when he was stationed at NAS Hutchinson. I'm looking forward to browsing your other galleries.
