loom by cbses

Just back from vacation and needed to get something in while pondering - when does a tool become a machine? a machine, an instrument? an instrument, a device? I think I'm going to grab one of Peter's screw drivers and ponder this some more.

d'oh! I was thinking you meant the frame of the loom...

Bob, I meant corner to corner of the image frame. Not a big concern, just an idea to consider. Given that you can't reshoot, I wouldn't worry about it as cropping at the left might take away too much of the white thread. John

John,
I'm trying to picture your suggestion re. running diagonals more parallel to the frame - but I'm drawing a blank. Unfortunately a re-shoot is out, this was left in the dust during last week's travels.

Bob, I wondered when you were going to stop lurking and start looming. ;^) It looks on theme to me. Well composed with great lines in three directions. I like the tones as well. I might have tried to run the diagonals closer to being parallel to the diagonals of the frame for a look. I support your idea to use Peter's screwdriver as a catalyst for some more inspiration. :^) I'm just having some freshly prepared apple and pear juice and, while it's tasty, it's not giving me ideas I didn't aleady have for more C39 shots so I can move that spider out of there (which was always just going to be an interesting filler until I came up with enough shots more suitable for the theme).
