Veronica, nice idea. I support all the other suggestions, especially the idea of greater contrast between the two different sections/layers to show the shape better.

Excellent idea, Veronica. But I have to agree with the others here on the busy-ness of the whole, and the strange way that some tools are just 'chopped' by the circle. It would also be nice to find a more contrasty (in terms of color/tone) set of images for your ying and yang. This would make the dots stand out more.

I agreed with Ord's comments - nicely conceived and processed. The bottom half has a cohesiveness that works (except for that one element(?) that is cut off - I'd like to see that in frame). On the other hand, the top is just a circular crop that doesn't "hold together" as well - but maybe that's part of the yin/yang thing:) I think if the top were held together by...maybe a round basket, a lazy susan with some sort of edge...something like that - it might work better. Just an opinion.

Fantastic idea, and the processing is very impressive - all the shadows look natural. The additional contrast in the way you have the mechanical tools on the pink background, with the kitchen tools on the wood background adds interest. I find it a bit "busy" for my taste, especially in the lower right; I was looking for quite a while before I realized what the 'dot' was. -Ord
