of course I meant that I "agreed" with the criticisms and suggestions. I "appreciated" the kind words.
paranoid? me? that's just what my enemies say?

Thanks for the comments and I agree on all counts. Had a tough time trying to bring the textured shadows from the towel on to the smooth frame...my PS skills are still wanting. I had made a few attempts to capture the reflection of my son's waterlogged face in the lens, but when I got them on the monitor I found I'd pretty much failed.

Beautifully done. Love the 3D effect. I'd like to see the glasses tilted slightly so that the reflection in the lens stands out more from the background. I like how you foudn a stunning photo in the simplest of subjects. Tlaloc

Nice image. Simple, well composed, and certainly blue! I also like 3D frame, I'll have to try my hand at it sometime. One criticism -- the shadow across the frame isn't quite right. Perhaps a little too dark (and not blue), and it should also shift slightly to the right (towards the light source) on the frame to enhance the 3D effect.

Good luck Bob. You need your son to understand priorities. Surely he can swim any time, but C37 waits for no man! LOL Also, nobody needs to know what's natural and what isn't. This isn't the kind of image that matters so much with that kind of thing, unless perhaps the reflection is too obviously staged.

John, Thanks for the comments. I actually do have a few shots where I was trying to capture a reflection in the lens - then my son had to run off to swim and I ran out of time. By the time I got to pp-ing, I wasn't really happy with those images. Maybe I'll give it another shot at home (although it would no longer be au natural :)

Nice treatment and definitely blue Bob. I'm glad to see you're continuing to find ways to use your 3D framing for good effect. I'm sure there are other ways of composing that would create different lines through the image, even as simple as opening the strap more so that a band goes into each corner. The icing on the cake would have been an interesting reflection off the eyepiece. That's always fun to look at in photos and can be fun to try to capture. John
