Hi,
Thanks for your nice comments. I happened to find this nice guy stuck inside the house. Decided to grap my camera. It's not that I kept the creature for this purpose and it was gone after some time. I found that it had a nice melodramatic feeling, but never intended horror stories. But I will take it as a compliment for the feeling it might have given you. ;-)
As for saturating the image, well i tried it, but it didn't give me satisfactory results. Colors were not natural anymore and I did not like the result.

Hi Roy,
Good title to suit a good idea with a colourful subject. I think I would like your little friend to be a bit more saturated and bright for best effect, but it works ok like this too.
Cheers, John

Michael,
Horror stories; who, me?! You're making me feel as guilty as my wife does with "let the poor creatures go". I don't keep by bugs for more than a couple of days, often less, and I feed them and give them water, although I'm not always sure what they should be eating. I've learned a lot about how they act and am even comfortable(ish) around the spiders I have photographed now. Even so, I bet they could tell you some horror stories about their captivity and photo sessions ;o). Cheers, John

I like the simplicity and how you were able to deal with the transparency of the wings.

For heaven's sake, Roy....let it out!! But it's a great picture. Perhaps you and our illustrious moderator can share horror stories...you both have the technique.
