I love these flowers, loved them since I was a kid.
Thanks for bringing up warming memories.

Yes, I was kinda bummed out by the foreground flower. It was REALLY hard to work around on this selective color theme because it is the purple color, and behind it is the yellow. As the foreground is way out of focus, it is fuzzy and bleeds into the yellow of the subject flower. I now see there is some sort of artifact in that transition, but oh well, just having fun :). Also, the foreground flower actually added to the full color version (IMO), it helped frame up the subject, but here, it probably detracts from it. Thanks for the comments on both pics, PP is my most rewarding hobby, otherwise I wouldn't be posting!

PS: I forgot to mention that I like your subtle use of very muted colours in the rest of the pic as a conscious choice over fully desaturating the rest of the pic. Once again, I would like to see some of both and I am sure that will happen as the Challenge progresses.

Hi Matt,
This one provides an interesting contrast within the one pic. As I mentioned for 'Soft to the Touch', I'm glad you posted the two variants here to show people the difference and I like to see the variety. I would have preferred this one to be a bit cleaner to the left of the coloured flower. The coloured bit itself works well and once again this pic is well composed and framed, except for the distraction of that upper left foreground. Otherwise, good effort again.
Cheers, John
