My co-authors and me, holding copies of the completed first draft of our book. Reaching this point was a great thrill, because we had been working on the book for nearly three years.
In my right hand you can see the remote control for my camera.
Thanks guys, and congratulations to Claudio for reading the title correctly! The book is just about to be published - it was much more work than any of us had anticipated, but we're very glad we did it. It's a specialized technical book with a small target audience, but reviewers who've seen pre-production copies have reacted very favorably. In other words, it will make a big splash in a small pond :-)

From John down under:
Hi Dana,
Aha! The face behind the C4 toilet, so to speak! ;o)
I see you have divided your frame into three and put yourself at one end to show off your paper. The way you have done it works ok, even though it is posed, as it doesn't look too stiff and regimented.
I think many of us can relate to your situation here and feel the joy from such a sense of achievement. I can also relate to the joy of being in command of the remote control. OK, so maybe that was not an intended part of the meaning of this picture, but it works for me! It's the little things that put the icing on the cake, right? That makes for icing on the cake for both of your pics from my perspective! :o)
Cheers, John
