I’ve thought about some of the wonders nature has presented me in my life. I’ve decided to make a short list of some that came to mind. I apologize if they bore you. Sunrises and sunsets have always been a favorite, the fresh smell after a rainfall, the quiet of falling snow, the meadowlarks song, wind blowing through the trees, the gurgling of a small stream, the flash of lightening during a storm, the rhythmic pounding of ocean waves, leaves quietly falling from branches during the fall, taking a close look at the frost crystals on a blade of grass, a cottontail rabbit sitting motionless in the grass, a whitetail deer standing in tall grass and watching every move I’ve been making, red-winged black birds as they quickly dart from cattail to cattail in search of insects, geese flying in an almost perfect formation, the croaking of frogs, the tiniest of alpine flowers, the owl perched on a barren tree, the musty smell of a damp forest, the butterfly darting among flower blossoms, a sound of a bugling elk in a mountain valley, watching a trout raise in a stream and take an insect off the top of the water. What are some of yours?
