On the day we drove from Great Basin to Utah, we found that Capitol Reef National Park was overflowing. We drove onward and discovered North Wash, an also-popular area of red sandstone canyons, and considered it a miracle that an empty bay, big enough to park our camper and tiny trailer, drew us in and invited us to explore before the desert spring sunset. I hope we get back there!
