I can't recommend the western approach (from Rupert, Minidoka, etc.), as the last several miles were gruesome,
and once there, I was accosted by a four-wheeling cadre of drunken, camo-clad dudes asking if I'd seen any elk.
I told them, "Only the sloe kind," (which was true...the last mile had come through a cow-pasture) and got out of there quickly.
