Coyotes were singing, across the river

Massacre Rocks Rest Stop, Power Co., Idaho

I have a favorite parking spot along a road--unusual for a rest stop--behind and away from the central facilities.
Choosing one certain shrub to block the light, I can sleep there overnight and take advantage of low sunlight in both late evening
and early morning. This is a view from near the northeast corner of the property.

A person can also visit the adjacent Massacre Rocks State Park via the trail to the Oregon Trail Ruts viewing site;
keep on walking west and --voilą--another couple miles of trail await!
