We board the ship in the afternoon and immediately head to
our first stop, the Falkland Islands. Since we are in the
open seas, ropes are put up in the aisle-ways if we should
encounter rough weather.

This is our 4th trip with NatGeo on the Explorer in cabin 339;
the first 3 trips were to the Arctic. It's possible we like
the lower-center of the ship to minimize sea sickness or
maybe we are just creatures of habit.
