| Beginning in Oregon and the non-existent Klamath Falls the Klamath River winds its way through the high desert of Northern California to the Pacific Ocean. It was once a major salmon river but now suffers from major pollution from an invasive algae which seems to be the result of all of the hydro-electric dams built along the river. There has been ongoing negotiations to try to restore the river and a program has been agreed upon. For years I have driven by the Interstate 5 Klamath River exit and often wondered where that road led to. This time I decided to take the road and discovered a lovely rural section of our state.
