Hi Tim. There are some great images here, and I can not add to them in comment more than that which Phil has already done. This however is my favourite. It's simplicity against it's impact are astounding. A simple form that to me conveys life leaping out of the shadows. Life as light and life as colour. I love it.
One of the purest, simplest renderings of natural form you have produced, Tim. This image makes use of the abstracting power of light and shadow to produce a translucent slice of life that is shocking in its intensity of color and elegance of its shape. Some might wonder why you included the softly focused material at the bottom, and call it "distracting." But I feel it completes the image by implying the presence of a bird gathering a morsel into its beak. You trigger the imagination of the viewer to make this image his or her own.
