The Retreat at Cool Spring

This 1799 home was built by Thomas Parker on the original 1,120 acres he purchased. Over the years, the property changed hands several times; with one section of the property becoming a golf course. After the golf course went bankrupt, Shenandoah University took stewardship of the property and uses the land as an outdoor classroom for the university and allows public access.
