Great Blue Heron

Canaan Valley, West Virginia

We did a mid-afternoon hike around Spruce Island Lake - 57° bright sunshine; yes, all the trees are bare but the valley is still a beautiful place to be.
Spotted this GBH alone on the tip of Spruce Island within Spruce Island Lake.
