Faith and religion are omnipresent in Latin America. In Mexico and Central America, altars, complete with flowers and candles, are everywhere: in the streets, in bus stations, in houses, in hotel lobbies. The Catholic imagery has a dramatic quality about it... of dubious taste sometimes.
