I forgot to mention the blurred background comes from the lens being in macro mode. Almost no DOF.

Yes, Christy. While I like the convenience of digital, I miss the creative control of an SLR. I was just looking at my Tokina macro, thinking f/22 would go a very long way to improving this image.

Interesting image Luke, I like it. Is f11 the smallest aperture for this camera? The background blurred very well, is that because of the long exposure? I am reading a book about digital photography and cameras. So much to learn!
