First pic: in-camera max sharpening (high, or +2), shot as JPEG.
Second pic: shot as raw, read in Nikon Capture Editor with "High" sharpening setting. Notice better sharpness and clarity than pic 1.
Third pic: shot as raw, no in-camera sharpening simulation performed (under "Advanced Raw"), but Unsharp Mask applied (100% radius 3, threshold 0). It really gets all the possible details captured!
