Currently in this gallery find a comparison between 3 lens: Nikon 70-300G vs Sigma 70-300 II, both APO and non-APO. (Non-APO shown in "CA" and "Cast" pics only, due to incorrect metering when stopped other than fully open - probably 'cause of the old chip version). All shot at ISO200, RAW, daylight, no sharpening. Postprocessing: USM(200% 0.3, 0), saved as JPEG level 7. BEWARE, PICS ARE LARGE!

Sigma doesn't look bad at all! I'd say the two match if Sigma doesn't look better!
