Days 8 & 9 - Linkoping

Morning- we continue biking from Motala south of Lake Boren to Borensburg. Our route takes us along the canal to Berg to visit the Carl Johan Lock Stairway with its impressive flight of seven interconnected locks that raise and lower boats about 62 feet. This was our first really wet day, but the rain was mainly in the morning.
Picnic lunch in Berg next to the locks. Then on to Linkoping, Sweden's fifth largest city.
This was also a long bike day.
The next morning we toured Linkoping and saw the Cathedral with its 351 ft. spire.
In the afternoon we visited Gamla Linkoping, a living museum of life in Sweden years ago.
