------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Week 3- February 4-10, 1985 Excavation at structure 8 under full lunar energy [approaching full moon] in search of a dedicational burial beneath the top stair revealed the eccentric pieces that are represented in the "Small Finds" photograph; two eccentric chert blades, obsidian cores, obsidian blades split from those cores, 4 pieces of Jade [2 ear spools, 1 cylindrical bead & 1 pendant] and a few scattered teeth were revealed by myself and one Ross Carter in the hours just prior the arrival of the FULL MOON of February 5... As far back as the early part of the twentieth century, Ricketson (1925: 386) remarked on the strong association between pyramids and royal tombs.
