Soon after discovering this fine example of a mysterious Toltec style statue that he would later name Chac-Mool [a name he created from 2 Maya words, chaac-for god and mol-for powerful; the bald-headed, bearded Augustus Le Plongeon is shown reclining along with his magnificent find.
