TN has been graced by yet another great bird! This gorgeous adult Golden-crowned Sparrow has been coming to the yard of Keith and Peggy Kunkel in Covington, TN. Several of us made it over for the bird the 1st day word was out, and many more will no doubt follow.

This is likely the 1st time this species has occurred in TN. This bird is a regular wanderer away from it's normal west coast haunts, but records in the southeast are very scarce.
