These are the 1st two documented records of Mottled Duck for TN, and both from the same location, TVA Lake at Ensley in Memphis. Luckily, Jeff Wilson got better photos in both cases. The 1st, more distant photo, was the 1st record which Jeff found. The next three are of the second bird which Jeff and I found immediately after the passage of a strong storm front. These birds have no doubt been in TN more often than records indicate.
