Well, I fond the evidence for placing this species in genus Ardea more convincing. Note: I am sure you are aware that only natural taxon is species everything above (including genus) is a results of what criteria taxonomist adjudged to be valid to group phylogenetically related species in higher ranks.

I don’t have a clue what you might mean by “Bubulcus Ardeidae ibis”.

Status of another Cattle Egret subspecies: A. i. coromandus is another ‘can of worms’ – personally I think it might be a valid species on its own but definitely more study is needed.

Genus Bubulcus family Ardeidae. So would it be Bubulcus Ardeidae ibis?. Or you are considering two sub species?.
