On saturday, July 5th, Henry and I hiked the trail at Nyack Beach State Park,
which runs right along the Hudson River, for about 2 miles. It starts our being fairly
level and easygoing but towards the end, it turns into a rather steep climb, ending in a
plateau where the trail ends. At that point, you are quite high above the Hudson River, with
really beautiful views. But the view away from the river, into the woods, is even lovelier.
Deer everywhere, does with their babies, some hidden, some grazing with mom. As long as
you don't try to approach them, they seem undisturbed by your presence. I stayed there
for a few minutes before turning around and starting the hike back to the car park (yes,
it's a one way hike, you have to hike the two miles back along the same route).
