I’m just back from a long road trip through Indiana, Ohio and Western Pennsylvania. I was on the road for five days and covered 1,500 miles mostly on back roads. The major reason for the trip was to photograph around Shipshewana, Indiana, a tourist destination for visitors interested in Amish culture. I’ve been working all summer on this project and have been to a number of Amish areas known for being tourist destinations. I have an enormous amount of photos to sort through to put this project together, which is a companion to the Amish/ Mennonite work I have been doing for the last few years. I am hoping to present this new work at the “Global Awareness Society” conference next May in Rome, Italy. I’ll post some of the works here. Cheers!
