This image evokes in my mind, a bit of the essence of an Alexander Calder mobile. He is largely know through his work with the mobile, a form of kinetic sculpture that incorporates movement, and is generally hung from above. He also created three-dimensional drawing using wire as a 3D material and also the stabile sculpture a solid ground based sculpture. His work also goes on to include paintings, lithographs, toys, tapestry, and jewelry.
