Dame Barbara Hepworth DBE (10 January 1903 – 20 May 1975) was an English sculptor. Her work exemplifies Modernism; she helped to develop modern art (sculpture in particular) immeasurably.

This image references the sculptural work not only of Barbara Hepworth, but also of a number of other sculptors and designers who made a major impact on the development of twenty-century sculpture and industrial forms. I thought of Heyworth’s smooth cool indentations in a lot of her work. I’d like to also reference the sculpture of Constantin Brancusi, a
Romanian-born sculptor who made his career in France. His abstract style emphasizes clean geometrical lines that balance forms inherent in his materials

I need to make another reference here it is the designers Charles & Ray Eames. Their work has also had a profound and lasting effect on modernist form.
Charles Ormond Eames, Jr (1907–1978) and Bernice Alexandra "Ray" Eames née Bernice Kaiser (1912–1988) were American designers, who worked in and made major contributions to modern architecture and furniture. They also worked in the fields of industrial and graphic design, fine art and film.
