The large group of dark trees in the right side of this image is
actually an island in Brown Deer Park lagoon. During the early morning,
the air is filled with the calls of Green Herons flying in and out
of the trees. And New Blue can frequently be seen roosting high.
This island is a literal santuary from the threat of predators, including humans.
