Gabe, one of three Grass Dancers, was responsible for cleansing the new circular arbor during the opening ceremony each day of Neskonlith Pow Wow. Gabe covered more ground than most while dancing around the central pole. He had a fancy, methodical step, and made a pattern while meandering between the inner and outer circumference of the circle. Gabe was ready for a sea of grass!

Like the other two Grass Dancers, he had great stamina, as well as longevity and withstood the intense sunlight and heat within the circle --time, after time, after time. And in full, summer sky blue regallia, he had many admirers in the stands.

Gabe's father,Danny, who often lagged behind his son, was fairly tough and joined in many of the Inter-Tribal dances during intense heat. 8^) See Gabe in action: http://www.pbase.com/terrat/image/19866553
