I have always considered railway stations as special places, but this one is the archetype of the old fashioned charm of travelling by train.
One nearly feels like apologizing for dragging trolleys and wearing casual traveller’s clothes.
King Leopold II , who was, it seems, also a great urbanist, had the visionary dream of this “cathedral of railway”, and , being a king, like in fairy tales, he made his dream come true…
