There are three basic mid to high elevation forest types in this area.

>5,000 ft.: Spruce-Fir (Fraser Fir & Red Spruce, over 90% has been lost
to the imported wooley and Hemlock wooly adelgid)

<5,000 ft.: Red Oak; and Northern Hardwood Forests
