The ragged tree

Gers, France

An evening shot from a hilltop road looking down onto a field that had been newly harvested. From a distance the stubble in the field looked like the brush stokes of a painting and provided a textured backdrop for the ragged tree.

On the thumbnail I thought there was a hidden fountain in the foreground spraying water in front of the tree. Amazing texture and "trompe l'oeil", well done for the clever spotting and neat composition, Steve. Another first class shot. Voted.
