The Gers is very close to the Pyrenees. The landscapes have a beautiful mountain backdrop and in the evening the light is blue!!

Yes this shot has the attraction of the light shining on the lone tree. It has something that holds the eye. The cut field colours and greens and blues all give a feel to this. I do wonder if a crop to fit the thirds rule would add more impact, but I am not too sure. Great scene regardless, well done Steve.
