First snowdrop

It was nice to find the first snowdrop in the garden after Storm Eowyn.
The wind howled last night and this morning and we didn't get much sleep.
It brought down trees and power lines, lifted garden sheds and trampolines, damaged sports facilities and houses.
One driver was killed when a tree fell on his car.
We were lucky as our power was restored after a short length of time and there was no damage apart from a couple of branches blown down.

It sounded like a horrible ordeal and I’m glad it is over. A much needed touch of spring.

sounds like you rode it out relatively unscathed, certainly a relief...new life in the garden suggests an encouraging resilience..

I'm glad to hear that. At least spring is rapidly approaching so hopefully there won't be any more experiences like that for a while.

How encouraging to see! The storm sounds terrible but glad you survived it well.

I've been reading about Storm Eodwyn and it sounds fierce. I'm glad you were not terribly impacted. Finding the snowdrop is a hopeful and happy sign! V
