Art Fair On The Square042.jpg

Shading the booth. Paintings and photos take a beating on the road. Frames can get damaged. Some colors are fugitive..reds and violets and some others especially.
So shade is important. Also direct sun can cause condensation inside the glass on frames...not a good thing.Yet you are far better buying framed art from the painter or photographer. They buy very high quality frames, probably better than some frame shops. Some have very good matte cutting machines and are very good at it.The artist wants their work to look good, so most are good at selecting matching frames and mattes... I've actually heard people say "how much without the frame?" They don't understand that most artists will give a far better frame for the money than the customer will get at a frame shop... and probably a better match for the art too. These people are pros.
