Handle on a very small cup

This is a handle on a very small (minature) teacup. The hole in the handle is about the size of the witdth of a pencil or a bit smaller. I used a cheap Minolta 220x manual flash...a Stofen Omni bounce and a homemade diffuser. I took this with a +4 Tiffen (maybe a +4 and a +2 stacked) diopter. Got a set used for very little and sure am pleased with them on my 8080. The close-up +4 lens seems to give me about the same magnification as my 'super macro' mode on the camera, but lets me sit quite a ways farther off, which enables the lighting of the subject in a much better way. Thanks to dang http://www.pbase.com/dang for getting me interested in this type of photography, as time and money permit I hope to get some more gear for doing this...but these close up, screw on filter-like lenses sure have given me a good taste for it and a lot of fun at very little money. They do tend to fringe (chromatic abberation) if you stack too many together, but seems just one does OK on my 8080 with it's lens (make sure to clean the dust off of your subject better than I did, of course unless it's a bee or a poisonous spider 8~)

other sizes: small medium large original auto

I have to admit that this 8080 is really producing some nice images with you at the controls...excellent detail and light...looks like porcelain...beautiful

Good going, Barri. I know how tiny these are, and looks you're ready for some bee hunting as you are! Hmm.. might have to try a reversed lens on the 8080 next. ;-)
