Barri, you've stirred up old memories with this capture ... we used to look down our noses at a Nash back in the early '50's but I'd love to have this one right now. This is probably a 1950 0r 1951 model ...

Good grief, I haven't seen one of these since Eisenhower was president! (just kidding) Seriously, I've never seen a big Nash. It looks so much like a Hudson.

And you put this one in a gallery called "Things"?!? She deserves a gallery of her own, this is a true beauty :)

This classic beauty brings back fond memories......I must be getting old. Love the hood and white-walled tires. Nice!

No haven't been by there since. No the Hornet was made by Hudson. They looked a lot like this though. My dad had an old Hudson Commodore (which looked a lot like this Nash)when I was about 5. The Hornet was Hudson's performance model...I think it had 2 or 3 carbuerators and was really quite quick. If I remember correctly it held the NHRA record for it's class in stock cars for a long while, into the 1970's I think. I remember reading something like 88mph through the 1/4 mile. Not bad for a flathead? 6 cylinder boat! In fact I remember in high school a guy had a very, very old Hornet ( in excellent condition ). Everyone with their muscle cars used to laugh at him only at first...:-) Thanks Tom.

Have you been back by & seen this one since then? I was trying to remember if this is the same car they use to refer to as a "Hornet", but I'm thinking it's not. The body design is so close if it's not tho'. One of my oldest memories is riding in the back of it going to the store one night for a gallon of milk. I couldn't have been more than 3, I guess. But it's a clear as yesterday. Man, guess they're right about senility.. you remember the past better than today! LOL
