Callie & Baby Girl
These two girl kittens are what's left of a litter of feral cats born last autumn.
The Mother cat has been living behind a garage near our grocery store and the kind-hearted employees feed her.
Afraid that we would have another litter from Mom plus a litter from each girl kitten, (about 15 more kittens) I decided on TNR for all of them. (trap, neuter & release)
I applied for a TNR grant from H.O.P.E. and got funding to neuter & vaccinate them all.
Then, I decided to use the grant for Mom cat who is very wild and would never adapt to pet life, and use my own money to neuter and adopt the two kittens.
I used my live trap to capture all of them, one by one.
Mom has been returned to the alley. Kittens have been living with me for 3 weeks now.
Being mostly feral, it took them two weeks to come out from under the bed.
We still can't touch them, but they are getting along great with Finn and Misha.
We work with them every day so they will be sweet house cats in the future.
