Winter Visitor - Osprey In The Pecan Trees

Sugar Land TX

January Challenge - Monochrome #18. Many trees in this part of Texas do not lose leaves during the mild winters. But our pecan trees always shed in November after the last of the nuts have fallen. We have thousands of pecan trees in our area. In the old days, Sugar Land's sugarcane plantations also harvested and sold the nuts.

I think Mr. Osprey is holding out for a bit fat fish! He could have had one of mine from Saturday LOL!!! I like the way he contrasts with the thin bare branches...good shot Lynn!

A wild abstract, maybe the Osprey is a little small in the frame :-)
