The goal into which Celtic scored two goals in May 1967 to beat Inter Milan 2-1 and become the first northern European football team (and, therefore, also the first British team) to win the European Cup. The Lisbon Lions, as that Celtic team have become known, was also the only team to win the European Cup in which all of the players came from the same city - a feat that is highly unlikely to be repeated. As a Celtic supporter who has been travelling to and from Lisbon very frequently during the past 15 years, and as one who lived in the Portuguese capital for two years, I am slightly ashamed to admit that this was the first time I have visited the scene of Celtic's one, and so far only, European triumph.
