A couple of days ago I treated myself to Sky HD+ and the opportunity to watch all of my favourite programmes in glorious high definition, and to pause and rewind live television as necessary (e.g., if I miss something that may or may not be important, or if I need to go do something else while my programme is running). The best thing about it, though (apart from the picture quality - which is amazing), is that I can now record all the programmes I miss because of my unsocial working hours and watch them later - and I can skip the adverts (which are a bit of a pain on Channel 4, if the truth be known). I'm now looking forward to the new HD release of the classic 1960s Michael Caine film, Zulu (which has been an all time favourite of mine since I first saw it as a lad at the old Regal Cinema in Rothesay when it was first released). It is being broadcast on Sky Movies HD1 on Sunday night (straight after Braveheart!), and also on Sky Anytime TV from Saturday. I can't wait! Well, this morning I was watching a documentary about Henri Cartier-Bresson and trying to learn some tips from the master - particularly about geometery and form. In this image, Bresson is seen walking out of the warehouse in which he kept his archive. I like the way the containers carry the perspective of the window panelling behind my television into the image on the television screen.
